10 Day You Challenge ~ 3 Films

  1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  I love the idea behind this movie.  Would you completely erase someone from your life if it meant that you didn’t have to remember the pain of how things ended?  I’ve thought about this so much when it comes to the sad ends of my past relationships and friendships.  I live in the past A LOT and anytime I find myself revisiting old times it stings a little.  Sometimes I think “My gosh, it would be so nice to just not remember that person.”  However, I’ve always believed that people come into your life for a reason and even if they leave a hole in your heart when they go they were meant to teach you something.  Either way, this is an amazing and beautiful movie and if you haven’t seen it you probably should.
  2. The Princess Bride.  “Oh no, is this a kissing book?”  I have no idea how many times I’ve seen this movie.  I swear I could quote it all to you.  This movie is about so much more than a love story and I feel like it’s got something for absolutely everyone.  It’s one of those movies you can watch with your best friend, your mom or your significant other and everyone can find something to take away from it.  It is by far one of my favs.
  3. The Pursuit of Happyness.  I remember the first time I saw this movie.  It made me cry and it made me laugh.  And at the end it made me feel that no matter how bad life gets you can always find a way to pick yourself up and find something better.  I’ve been through some pretty dark days and anytime I go through something hard or sad I think, “Heck, if he could go through being homeless and having no money then I can certainly get through this.”  This movie is based on a true story and it just gives you HOPE.  And I think anything that can do that is definitely a good thing.
