Dustin and I went on a cruise on the Carnival Conquest in January of ’09.  I’m actually really glad we waited a few months because I was in pain from the car accident till around December.

I’d been on a cruise before but Dustin hadn’t and I was so excited to be able to get away for an entire week without computers or phones or anything bothering us.  We had an amazing time and I can’t wait to cruise with him again.

Us in the airport looking VERY tired after having to wake up at 3AM
In Galveston, TX waiting to get on board our ship
 Our boat, the Carnival Conquest

Decorations in our room courtesy of the crew and my parents

We also got a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries

Laying in the sun on our first day out at sea

Every night when you come back to your room the crew leaves a fun towel animal.  Our first night we came back to an insane elephant and we couldn’t help but take this pic

The main stage for entertainment at night, so pretty!

Hello Jamaica!

This was my breakfast at Margaritaville in Jamaica.  The strongest mango daiquiri I have ever had an an amazing slice of key lime pie

Hello Grand Cayman.  This was our second port on our cruise.  Honestly, Grand Cayman was a lot like the US.  I don’t think I’d plan a vacation here

Us being… us

Our last stop was Cozumel in Mexico

After doing lots of shopping we ended up at Fat Tuesday which was situated right on the water.  We sat on cool swings by the bar and looked out onto the water and our boat!

I can’t say it enough, cruising is SO much fun!  And it’s even more fun when you have someone you love by your side.  It was an amazing vacation!

I went on a cruise once, I was in HS at the time… I LOVED it then and I can only imagine I'd still love it. It's such a great way to see many places!

Steve gets pretty bad seasickness, so I think with him it might be best to try out a 3 day cruise… i'd hate to spend the money on a full week. Although just 3 days sounds… short.

I've never been on a cruise but I hear they are a great time. I do worry about getting seasick even though I know the boats are huge. Did you have any issues with that?

You guys look like you had a blast! And what fun pictures! I've never been on a cruise, but Mark and I are going on one for our honeymoon. The military has this cool sponsorship with Disney where soldiers and their families get a discounted rate.

How fun! I have never been on a cruise but I love seeing many different places so I think it would be perfect for me. Someday!

This makes me want to go on a cruise! We waited a little while to go on a honeymoon too, and I agree, it's better. These cruise pictures are making me crave sunshine, we haven't had any yet! It looks like you guys had so much fun.

Looks like a lot of fun! I've heard a lot of cruise stories and I don't mind going on one some day but I think I'd rather go with a group of friends. Can you believe that Tyler and I still haven't gone on our honeymoon?! We need to ASAP before I accidentally get knocked up, jk.

Cruising is fun, fun, fun! :)

I felt the same way about Grand Cayman. I did like the relaxing island feel to it, though. That felt a lot different than the hustle and bustle of my city.

I totally agree with you on Grand Cayman! It's a snore fest with a total Americanized feel to it. PS: I totally sat in that same spot at Fat Tuesday! :)

I love cruising, too. Haven't been one on in ages, but I was just considering rounding up some girlfriends for a week in the Carib somewhere…

Looks like you both had a great time. Your pictures are too cute–you are an adorable couple :)
