‘Cause You Feel So Good You Make Me S-stutter

Happy Saturday will be back next week because today I have to gush about my Thursday night.

Well first and foremost, I had to do a drug test for my new job.  That was interesting.  I’ve never had to do a drug test before and it was definitely a little weird, almost like being treated like a criminal when you haven’t done anything.  But it’s done so hopefully I’ll get a call in the next few days so I can start my orientation, yay!

After that I headed to Roseville where I always meet up with Sara before we go to a concert.  I got there early so I got to hang out in Borders looking at books for awhile and then it was time for our favorite restaurant, Flame.  Sara ordered a quesadilla, which looked amazing, and I had 3 mini burgers which were amazing.  And of course we both got fries because the fries at Flame are AWESOME.  For dessert we split a slice of cheesecake, which our good friend Ang suggested.  Yum it was AMAZING.  I love love cheesecake and this definitely did not disappoint.  Plus, once again we had fabulous service and I adore the atmosphere of Flame.  If you’re in the area definitely stop by, it won’t disappoint.

 How good does that look?

Then we headed to the Target Center.  Oh my gosh, I love concerts.  We both got the same t-shirt because even though money is tight for me Maroon 5 is one of my all time favorite bands.  And the t-shirt we picked out is so cute!

 The obligatory us pic

There were two opening acts, the first of which was Ry Cuming.  Sara and I hadn’t heard of him but we were pleasantly surprised.  He’s from Australia (yummy accent) and he put on a great performance.  I definitely plan on checking out more of his music and suggest you all do the same.

Then came OneRepublic, who I love.  They of course put on an amazing performance and played a lot of the songs that I love as well as a mash-up that was a bizarre mix but ended up working.  They did what an opening act is supposed to do: got the crowd totally excited.  Oh man, they were definitely awesome.

And then finally there’s Maroon 5. So I have been a fan of these guys since their Songs About Jane album was new.  Adam Levine is ridiclously sexy and I make no secret of the fact that I have the major hots for him.  Dustin knows that if I ever run into Adam someday and Adam asks me to run away with him I’ll be gone (sorry Dustin, you know you’d do the same thing is Kate Beckinsale asked you).  Anyway, this is the 3rd time I’ve seen Maroon 5 in concert and they get better and better every time.  You can tell that they love what they do and damn do they do it well.  At their second concert I was happy that they played not only songs from their latest CD but also songs from their first CD as well as a few songs from other artists thrown in.  This concert was no different and they played their older stuff as well as their new stuff AS WELL as a fantastic rendition of Al Green’s Lets Stay Together.  And if you’re like my crazy husband and you don’t know who Al Green is just do yourself a favor and find out.  Or else we can’t be friends anymore.

If only I had been close enough to take this pic.  But how hot is he!?  Those arms, that tattoo, the scruff on his face.  Yum yum!

How can you not love a band who has a disco ball going at their concert?
My favorite boys.

I had an amazing time on Thursday and I managed to make it home in one piece.  And all I can do is sit here and feel that concert itch.  And more than that all I want to do is jam to Maroon 5 all day.  Those boys are FANTASTIC.  Not to mention that Sara is totally my concert buddy, which I love.

More soon!

That cheesecake looks incredible! And I guess I know I'm old when I'm much more interested in the cheesecake portion of the post than the hot guy part!

Guess WHAT??? I was at Pier One and found part of the PERFECT Xmas present for you. I totally squealed when I saw it. I'm ridiculous excited for you to see it. :) AND it has something to do with this concert. That's all the hint you're getting. :)

So glad your favorite band didn't disappoint. Great pic of the two of you, as well.

I haven't had to take a drug test in a long time. I do remember having to jump through a lot of hoops the last time I did. They even tested the temp to make sure it was fresh!

That cheesecake looks so yummy, I am putting on calories just looking at it :)

Glad you had lots of fun at your concert. I play them in my car. Althought I can't remember the last concert I went to :(

    Have a wonderful weekend/Halloween :) T.

While I like Maroon 5 (and he's totally HOT) I LOVE One Republic. I saw them 2 years and they were so good. I love when bands are just as good (if not better) as what you hear on the radio, makes you love them more.
