It is exactly ONE MONTH till my birthday!!
Are you excited? I know I am!
Last month I posted my birthday wish list for a couple of people that wanted to send me a lil’ somethin’ somethin’. Seriously, that is way to sweet and makes me totally smile.
This month I have an idea that I stole from my friend Sami from Sami by the See who is a fellow virgo. She is requesting people send her birthday cards from all over for her birthday. And I thought, “Well that is just an awesome idea!”
So, I want the same thing! I want cards! I adore birthday cards and I adore my birthday and of course I adore all of you so please send me cards! If you’d like to, just email me (K.J.Hartenstein@gmail.com) and I’ll send you my NEW address! Then I’ll take a picture of all the lovely cards to share with all of you!
Moving on! My weekend was decent. Jake’s funeral was on Friday and I will say it was absolutely amazing. His parents both spoke and they were so, so strong. I just could not get over the amount of love felt in that room. Afterward, Jo and I (Jo is a friend of mine that worked at Caribou with Jake and me) went to Caribou for our Jake inspired cookies ‘n cream snowdrifts. It’s the first time I’ve been back to my old Caribou since I was fired and thankfully two of my favorite people were working. So, it was a sad but good day all in all.
Saturday I worked. People were CRANKY! I don’t get it. How can you be cranky when the day is gorgeous, it’s Saturday, you aren’t working and you’re shopping for clothes? What on earth? Nonetheless I had a great day because I got ANOTHER credit card application which is awesome! I felt darn accomplished.
Sunday I was on call but when I called at noon to see if they needed me they DIDN’T! Yay! So Dustin and I met up with Taryn and Matt at Dunn Bros. for coffee and then went out to lunch with them and the in-laws for my father-in-law’s 50th birthday! The rest of Sunday evening was spent lazing around – we ate way too much food, ugh.
This week will be spent PACKING PACKING PACKING. I am not looking forward to it but I keep thinking about how amazing it is going to be once we’re out of this apartment and into the house. Just have to get through these next few weeks!
More soon (and don’t forget to snag my address if you’d like to send a birthday card! =-)
