School Again AND A Giveaway Winner!

My classes for this quarter (which goes from late July to late September) just started yesterday. This semester I’m taking supervisory management, computer information systems and business communications. I’m least looking forward to computer information systems and I wish it was something cool like “blog html” hehe. Wouldn’t that be a cool class to take!? I think I’ll probably do best in supervisory management and it’ll be interesting since I’m trying to become an assistant manager at work.

I have some potentially awesome news but I don’t want to blog about it until I have something concrete to back things up. However, if you all could please keep Dustin and me in your thoughts and hope for good things that’d be GREAT.

And I have some sad news. My mom gave me a Stephen King book to read, Duma Key. Generally I don’t like Stephen King, something about his writing style. And I seriously tried to give this one a shot. But I just couldn’t. So I headed to the library yesterday for some new books. Fail on my part.

FINALLY, I have a winner to announce for the Miss Betty Lou giveaway! Remember, this is the gorgeous necklace that you’ll win (unless I steal it from you first, hehe).

I used the Random Number Generator to find the winner and it selected #38.

And who is #38 you ask? Congratulations to Amy from It’s Chaotic!

Amy, please email me with your info! And you better wear that necklace to the bloggy get together!

Thanks to all who entered and heads up, there’s going to be another giveaway very soon! Have a good day all!

I might be taking a photoshop class for fun. I'm not sure yet…I have to see if I've got the money upfront since hello— I'm still paying my student loans. LOL. :)

    Hi Krysten,

I actually read a comment you wrote on another blog, and connected right away with what you wrote. I'm a writer. Love it, and always have – however, in adulthood it is now my goal to actually write a book, and maybe even publish. However, I'm stuck in the same rut of going strong at first, and then getting new and more exciting ideas, so giving up on the first. It's so frustrating. Anyways, love your blog, and just wanted to let you know that I'm going through the same thing. There's gotta be a way out!!
    ttys…keep blogging!!

I will definitely keep you two in my thoughts. Hope the potentially awesome news comes true for you.

I don't like Stephen King either, so don't feel bad.

Congrats to the winner of the lovely necklace, too!

Although I'm very sad about summer almost being over I'm very excited to start school again, probably cause it's another change in routine. I like changing things up often.

I hope it's good news for you and Dustin. Can't wait to hear about it!

And you're too cute for being sad about not being able to read a book…I loved that!

Okay last but not least CONGRATS to the winner of your giveaway!! :)

OooOOoooOOooo… potentially awesome news is… potentially awesome. :) Fingers crossed!

I think the more Stephen King writes, the worse it gets. His older stuff is fantastic and I used to be a big fan in high school (The Stand is amazing), but his newer work? Not so much impressed.

Good luck with your new classes and can't wait to hear what this potentially very exciting news is! That necklace is seriously gorgeous and I love the satin flower look that has taken off. I just did a line of headbands with them and it's going to take everything in me to sell them. 😉 I want one for me!

Ooh! Good luck on your new classes! And don't worry – if you're an avid reader, you know what you like (the more you read!) so there are bound to be books you don't! I read tons and there are quite a few books which, after I give them a healthy chance, end up putting down. Too many good unread books out there!

There is only a few Stephen King books that I really enjoy. I don't know why people freak out over him, I truly feel like some of his writing is very amateur. But I do like some of his.

    Good luck!
