This book takes place right after Hurricane Katrina as well as the explosion at the Vampire Summit. While Sookie is safe, the Louisiana vampires took a huge hit and Sookie’s shapeshifter boyfriend, Quinn, is missing. On top of all that, big changes are happening among both the Were and vampire communities and, as usual, Sookie finds herself right in the middle of all of it.
I’ll say it again, Sookie is a million times better as a heroine than Bella. Sorry, I love Twilight but if you want a strong female lead definitely look to Sookie Stackhouse. These books are for people that love vamps but want that added sex appeal. And this book, as with every other before it, definitely brought that. I love Sookie Stackhouse and I’m pretty sure this book makes me really want her to be with Eric Northman. Oh Eric. So sexy.
Or maybe I want her to be with Sam. Decisions, decisions.
Anyway! Once again Charlaine Harris has knocked it out of the park. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next Sookie Stackhouse novel!
