The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer

Yep. I finally finished rereading the Twilight saga.

First off I have to say that Twilight the movie really jaded me. I fell in love with the books, I really did. Then I saw the movie a million times and I couldn’t really remember WHY I loved the books so much. Sad. So I reread them to get ready for New Moon (which I said in my previous post is WAY better than the first movie). And now I remember why I fell in love with Edward, Bella, Jacob, Forks and EVERYTHING having to do with Twilight.

For those that have been living under a rock, Twilight is the story of a girl Bella Swan, who moves to the small town of Forks to live with her father after her mom remarries. Bella soon becomes interested in Edward Cullen who she later discovers is a vampire. These four books are the story of the moment Bella meets Edward until… well, I won’t spoil the ending.

I know I’ve gone on and on about these books. I know some say that Stephenie Meyer can’t write (which I think is totally untrue). And maybe these books are a smidge “teeny bopper”. But the love story is pretty amazing, I think. And I think that the world Stephenie Meyer created, which is now coming alive on the big screen, is pretty fantastic. There hasn’t been a book that has made me this obsessed since Harry Potter. And I think that no matter what your age these books can speak to you in some way.

Obviously I give this entire series an A+. How could I not?

I think Stephanie is a marginal writer. If the love story wasn't so epic and griping to women- it never would have been a big deal. The first movie was actually pretty horrible. I mean, obvious editing mistakes everywhere and it was screaming low budget. New Moon was so great in so many ways I feel it did justice to the book. I am very excited for Eclipse since that was my favorite book in the series, and I'm super anxious to see how the hell they film Breakind Dawn and keep it PG 13. I mean really. How are they going to do that? But man, I really can't stand Kristen Stewart. I just wish they'd give her a tranquilizer or something because she is so fidgety it drives me nuts!!

Yes, I'm a fan. I loved the books, hated the first movie and loved the new one. I just think it's nice that grown women have something fun to get a little excited about for a change. Why let the teens have all the fun!
