The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make
Say what you are and who
Your heart beats for
It’s an open door
It’s your life
Yep, that’s right. I mean, technically I did something Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday I had my poli sci final and Wednesday I had to drop off my final paper for interpersonal communications (AKA InterComm). However, aside from those two things I’ve got Tuesday, Wednesday, today and tomorrow totally free.
Am I horribly bored? Actually, not really. It’s a nice change from running all over the place like a mad woman.
AND Monte got his first bath (well, my first time giving him a bath, anyway) on Tuesday. This is a picture of him right in the middle of it. It actually didn’t go badly like I thought it might. He wasn’t exactly happy to be getting a bath but he didn’t whine or anything either. Afterwards I toweled him off and he ran all over the apartment a bunch of times like an absolute maniac and then ended up here in the computer room with me rubbing himself all over the couch. Obviously he wasn’t a fan of the new dog smell, lol.
Speaking on Monte, he’s totally awesome and I’m so happy we have him. He’s totally nuts and sometimes doesn’t do what he’s supposed to but he’s such a sweetheart and so freaking cute! We love him (we being Dustin and me; Molly merely tolerates him and Metro is still very angry). Ah well.
In other HUGE NEWS my folks figured out where we’re going on spring break in March 2010. And the winner is? PLAYA DEL CARMEN! Um, HECK YES! Frankly ANYWHERE would have been great. Not the problem is waiting until then! It’ll be my parents, Dustin and me and Ryan and his girlfriend Sara. It’s going to be ridiculously fun!
And more news, the September ’08 Midwest nesties (yeah, say that 3 times fast) are planning a get together (AKA GTG in nestie language). Um, I can’t even begin to express how excited I am for this! I’ve been on the 9/08 message board since September 2007 and I feel like I know those girls despite the fact that we’ve never met. So, in either August or October (we’re still narrowing down the date) we’ll be meeting up in Chicago. SO EXCITED!
Anyway, that’s about it for now. I’ll leave you with more Francesca Battistelli lyrics and the gorgeous tree outside my bedroom window. More soon!
